    i don't know, but i looked it up and they timed this year's pillow fight to happen simultaneously with other pillow fights in cities around the world . . world pillow fight day: http://www.pillowfightday.com/

    oh . . and this year's event in union square was nyc's 5th annual pillow fight!

    who ever knew?!
