Today was the day, our Hibaku Persimmon seeds finally sprouted! I was beginning to think we were going to have to admit defeat. This is a project of Hiroshi Sunairi at treeproject.blogspot.com
After we went to see Gus and Elayne at ZP auto. This is where we bought our 93 Dodge Caravan. Gus treated the children to lemonade at Acme's. This brought back so many memories for me, Camille's first french fry, at less than a year, she just reached out and took a bite, Yves when he was a few days old laying on the table, the owner bought us brunch that day....of course the catfish po-boys!
Then we headed to Washington Square Park to look at the new fountain. We will have to come back on a warmer day.
On the way to the East Village Cheese Store we stopped for a cream puff and as luck would have it Wednesday is chocolate! We ate them at the Cube at Astor Place.

Lucien really wanted to push the cube and was aided by a friendly passer-by. We were all remembering doing this on a wet day with Jutta, Pegen, Luc and Dien.

At the cheese store Yves and I had the best fun picking out cheeses. The woman behind the counter even let him have a taste. Yves didn't fail to notice the "No Samples" notices. She was enjoying their enthusiasm. She made some great recommendations sticking with our $2.99/lb rule and threw in a piece for the boys to eat on the way home.

what a great nyc day! it's always fun when strangers help out with the cube . . i love your little movie . . and that last picture of gael! what a fun day with your beautiful boys! and please tell me where to get the cream puffs!
