A City Moon

City Garden

I love going up on the roof and seeing all the changes. Well, except the ones the squirrels make.

Hopefully we will have a few cucumbers.

I left some radishes to bloom and seed, but I didn't expect seed pods.

This quickly disappeared.

Finally a few zucchini blossoms. The squirrel kept eating the shoots but with persistence three plants survived.

I am so tempted to pluck the blossoms, stuff them with basil and fresh mozzarella, dredge them and lightly fry them!!

Water Park in the Rain

Gael and Gabriel were so excited to go to the Water Park with the prospect of rain. They were not disappointed. Though Denise and I had trouble finding a dry spot.

When all were sufficiently purple we went to our house to warm up.

A Day Full of Friends

What a wonderful day.
Gael started it by removing some hardware that Lucien and I were stubbing our toes on. What a relief.

Yves and Lucien met Jenny, Adam and Josh to see the Imax version of the latest Harry Potter then came for lunch. Philippa came in the afternoon with Leo and Adela, friends from Majorca. The children played games all afternoon.
Adela joined Camille and M who started in the morning to sew and sew ending in this masterpiece. Bravo.

Late in the afternoon, Dorina and C joined us for tea. A perfect day.
The next day was a lazy one, reading in bed. I should do that sometime soon!

Alex and Nathalie

Alex and Nathalie came for a weekend. We took them to the Highline of course.
We actually managed to get a lounge spot but the children were disappointed with how little the loungers could roll.

We had a really great but all too brief visit and are hoping they will come back before returning to Italy, maybe they could come back and stay!

Chelsea market and the lobsters.

Carrying home the fish! I don't think that is what Gael had in mind when he said he would like to go fishing.

The radically changed meat market.
