Constance and the Strings, Friends and tea

St John the Divine was very dark inside but you can hear Constance as first violin.
The concert was lovely. Unfortunately, this is even darker after posting!

This was Constance's last day in New York.

I took the boys to Central Park. They had a wonderful time at Daniel's birthday and managed to travel home together. I left them to run home and unlock the door so Constance could get her luggage. We almost kept her.

And eventually made it to Tea and Sympathy with Cecilia and LeCee. Neither of them had ever been. Then we went for a walk on the Highline.

Garden Bounty

Radishes in bloom.

The beans sprang up all of a sudden.

The end.

Constance and the cloak

After much delay, geographical seperation, missing pattern, lining to be found, the cutting and sewing began. There was some pattern manipulation to fit the fabric but all went well.

After a lot of work and determination, the cloak was finished.
The wonderful result! Wow, did they get some stares.

New York Aquarium, Beach and friends

Today we met the Farhis and Eli at the Aquarium.

We hadn't been to the Aquarium in a long time. We saw the Sea Lion show and the penquin feeding. We didn't realize that there are warm climate penquins!

After we went to the beach to cool off.

There was a lot of treasure hunting with many finds.

Gabriel and Brendan

I loved watching the turtles swim in the light.

At the end of the day Ellen made a lovely dinner for us all and then came to home depot with me. Everything is more fun with a friend.

Avalon....the sword in the stone?

The path across the dunes to the beach.

Constance was visiting us when we all went to Robert, Therese and Serge's in Avalon for July 4! We all had so much fun. The wonderful meals, the beautiful view, the dunes, the beach, the fireworks and wonderful company. Thank you! Therese's parents were also there, it was like ages ago though a few more children!

Flying kites, one too easy and one really difficult.

Gabriel flying a kite.

Yves getting ready for take off, hopefully!

A horse shoe crab. Robert, Serge and Gael investigate.

Miles and Bernadette

Lucien, Yves and Gabriel

Bernadette came back from a family trip and with much starting and stopping we all headed to Woodstock but then turned back to return some keys to Silka, who has now packed up and left NY.

We had a lovely time. The children played croquet, jumped on the trampoline, went swimming in the river. Dan showed Yves and Camille Planet of the Apes.
